Where, you may ask, is Orihuela Costa?
Orihuela Costa, is a well kept secret from those who don’t know Southern Costa Blanca that well.
OC (as we like to call it) , is still fairly new in some form or another. The whole coastal area was in development from 2004 to the present day.
After the property crash in 2007, OC was dealt an unfair blow by You Tubers, filming it as an unfinished building site.
Fast forward to 2016: OC is fast becoming the new holiday destination, even now being rumoured to rival Costa De Sol.
Five reasons why you you should come to Orihuela Costa for your next holiday?
1. The magnificent coastal walk (for those of us who love walking)
2. Virtually no parking restrictions, (unlike the Costa De Sol or Benidorm, which can be a nightmare and overcrowded especially in high season).
Though OC can get busy in July and August, the rest of the year you can be sure of ‘free parking’ in most of the resorts.
During high season, families now flock to this area, so that just means you have to get there as early as you can, for the prime parking spot right next to the beach of your choice.
3. Great central location for day trips north and south.
I totally recommend day trips either by car or coach to places like:
Guadalest, Benidorm, Alicante, Torrevieja.
5. More Blue Flag Beaches, to rival other costas.
